The East Midlands provides a rich source of business support to social enterprises; a number of these organisations are social enterprises themselves. The level and type of support available varies, but with the development of county-based networks and partnerships, many organisations work collectively to ensure that a social enterprises support needs are being met.
The type of organisations that provide business support to social enterprises varies but a few examples are Co-operative Development Agencies (CDAs), Community Councils, local authorities, local Councils for Voluntary Services (CVSs), Community based agencies and social enterprises
